Save The Date! There will be a Church Retreat on April 10-12th at Southeastern Baptist Youth Camp (3127 W CR 800 S, Greensburg, IN 47240). Sunday worship will be held ONLY at the camp on April 12th. All meals and overnight accommodations are provided at no cost. Registration is required so we can prepare for everyone. To sign up online follow this link. March Special Offering: We will be collecting for America For Christ during the month of March. Please mark your offering envelopes accordingly.

Mission Trip Informational Meetings: We will be having info sessions about a potential mission trip to Rainbow Acres in AZ this fall after worship on Sunday March 15th. The session will also be available on zoom for those who are out of town but are interested. Text or email Pastor Tyler if you would like the zoom option. Rainbow Acres is a ranch in Camp Verde, AZ for adults with developmental disabilities. Contact Leah Griffin or Jeff Caldwell for more information.

Easter Lilies: We have begun sign ups for any who want to purchase a lily to commemorate a loved one. Cost is $10. These will be used to decorate the church and can be taken home to enjoy after Easter. The deadline to order is March 28th.

Men of Faith: has begun a study on Thursdays at 9:00 am called “More Than a Name: The Names of God”. All men invited! There will be no Bible study on March 19th due to Spring break.

Women’s LIGHT Bible Study: will begin a Lenten study on Thursday, March 12, 19, & 26 at 9:00 am. Join us! There will be no Bible study on Holy week (March 29-April 5).

Love Chapel’s Leprechaun Dash: Join Love Chapel’s 5K Run & Walk on Tuesday March 17th from 5-8 pm. Click here for more info.

For the Love of Brunch: Every 3rd Thursday of the month at 10:45 am, the ladies will be getting together for brunch! For March, it will be Thursday, the 19th. The restaurant is located at 1606 Central Ave. Let Dortha know you are coming at 812-341-7811. Join us!

Church Council Meeting: The monthly Church Council meeting will be Tuesday, March 24th @ 5:30 pm.

Directory Update: We are again updating our directory and need any updated information or changes to address, phone, or email by March 29th. Please submit any changes to secretary@fbccolumbus, or by phone at 812-376-3321.

The First Baptist Church Foundation is accepting applications between now and April 1st for two scholarships. The E. Don Tull Scholarship is for a graduating high school senior planning to attend an institution of higher learning full-time next year and is in the amount of $1,000. The Foundation Scholarship is for any full-time undergraduate student and is also in the amount of $1,000. Applications and instructions may be obtained from the church office or the church website (Connect/FBC Foundation). They are due back to the church office or a Foundation board member by April 1, 2025 to be considered. Scholarship recipients will be announced in May.

Forward in Faith: If you have not yet had a chance to hear the message of the full vision for Forward in Faith, take a few moments to watch it HERE. You can also learn more about the capital campaign by visiting www.firstbaptistcolumbus.org/forward. Wherever you are in the process, thank you for your prayers, your generosity, and your willingness to walk this road together. The ending date for pledges is March 31st.

PRAYER Matters:

Mission prayer request: Oleg Turlac as he travels to Poland to minister to Ukrainian refugees and persecuted pastors and churches in the “Stans” (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, etc.) March 4-19. Pray for him as he will speak in Warsaw at a conference for Ukrainian ministers from all over Europe.
